For the production of his luminaire families, Thomas Emde relies on a completely new technology in the lighting industry. The housing of the luminaire is both a circuit board and a control element made of glass. He achieves this with a new type of manufacturing process developed and patented in Germany, in which conductor tracks are used, electronic components, contacts and a circuit for dimming the light are applied to the high-quality white glass. This eliminates the need for a conventional plastic circuit board and the installation height of the lights can be significantly reduced.
