emdelight-glass

By developing emdelight-glass, Thomas Emde has created and patented a light glass based on LED technology. Its color and brightness are dynamic and infinitely variable. Light and glass are one and the same and become a flexibly applicable building material. emdelight-glass can be used indoors and outdoors - as a window, facade element, partition wall, stair railing, elevator cabin, furniture and much more. The light is fed into the glass panel from one or two opposite edges. The glass is printed with a dot grid, where each dot is a target disturbance point that couples the light out of the pane in a controlled manner. The grid structure, which is individually calculated depending on the size and thickness of the glass pane, ensures a harmonious distribution of light.
