Pearl of the Sun

As a contribution to an international architectural competition, Thomas Emde developed "Pearl of the Sun", an innovative concept as a landmark for the new city of Lusail in Qatar. Inspired by the basic leitmotifs sun & light - tradition & innovation, a gigantic sphere with the appearance of a pearl and an underwater museum "The House of New Energy and Light" were created.
